We united global experts at “The Future is Now” cybersecurity conference!

The cybersecurity landscape is changing rapidly, and yesterday, we welcomed leading industry voices to chart its course at the highly anticipated “The Future is Now 2025” conference.

Held as a one-day event at our Comtrade Event Center in Belgrade, this gathering brought together security innovators, practitioners, and thought leaders from across the region and beyond to confront the critical challenges and transformative technologies shaping the future of digital defense.

Designed as more than just a conference, “The Future is Now” served as a collaborative hub for lively discussions, expert insights, and cross-industry connections. The focus? Exploring how artificial intelligence, strategic resilience, and next-gen innovation redefine cyber protection.

Opening the day was Netanel Amar, COO and Co-Founder of Cynet Security, who delivered a provocative presentation titled “The Evolution of Cybersecurity: Are We Doing Something Wrong?” – a deep dive into how far we’ve come and what still needs to change in the face of increasingly complex threats.

Next, Miri Varbitzky, VP Sales for Central & South EMEA at Stellar Cyber, took the stage with “Illuminating the Darkest Corners of Cybersecurity,” showcasing how advanced detection and visibility are helping organizations expose hidden threats before damage is done.

After a brief networking break, the first panel discussion, “The Rise of Social Engineering Attacks: Prevention and Response,” brought together:
Michele Barbiero (Regional Sales Eastern Europe, Cynet Security)
Tomasz Joniak (Solution Engineer, Delinea)
Nenad Popović (Chief Information Security Offcer, Addiko Bank a.d. Beograd)
Dragan Ilić (System Engineer, Palo Alto Networks)

Together, the panelists explored the human element of cyber risk, with real-world insights on how to build defense mechanisms against manipulation tactics that continue to evolve.

Continuing the conversation, @Tomasz Joniak, Delinea’s Senior Solution Engineer returned with a focused session on “Privileged Access Beyond Traditional PAM Tools,” offering a new perspective on securing high-risk accounts in hybrid environments.

In the afternoon, @Julien Laurent, Cyber Fraud Product Manager and AWS Alliance Manager from Group-IB presented a compelling session on “How the Unified Force of Technology & Cooperation Effectively Combats Fraud,” emphasizing the need for intelligence sharing and alliance-building in a digital arms race.

Toni Bilić,  System Engineer from Fortinet followed with “From Reactive to Proactive: Strengthening Your Defense Posture with Deception,” introducing cutting-edge deception strategies that turn the tables on attackers.

The second half of the day featured Dragan Ilić, System Engineer from Palo Alto Networks, returning to offer an in-depth look into “Attack Surface Management Through SecOps,” stressing its role as a foundational pillar in proactive cyber defense strategies.

Closing the event, Panel 2 explored “Transforming Cyber Defense with Managed Security Services.” The panel brought together:

Julianna Pihlar (Regional Sales Southeastern Europe, Cynet Security)
Miri Varbitzky (VP Sales, Central & South EMEA, Stellar Cyber)
Dejan Dušić (Group CISO, AikGroup (CY) Limited)
Nebojša Nenezić (SEE IT security, UNIQA)

This dynamic discussion covered how MSSPs are helping organizations of all sizes stay resilient, scalable, and secure in an increasingly volatile threat landscape.

“The Future is Now 2025” offered not only a glimpse into what’s next for cybersecurity but a chance for leaders and practitioners to forge alliances, share knowledge, and leave inspired to take decisive action in securing the digital frontier.

Big thank you goes out to all of our amazing organizers, speakers, and participants – it will be our pleasure to host you again next year!
